Your morning starts with a spectacular balloon inflation display. With so many colourful balloons in Hot Air's balloon fleet, it's just like a balloon fiesta! Then rise up and float over the scenic Atherton Tablelands with its rainforest fringed mountains and tranquil country landscapes. Breathe in the wide-open spaces and enjoy the picturesque vistas at sunrise with 60 minutes flying time (taken as two separate balloon flights of 30 minutes one directly after the other travelling further not back across the same countryside so see more of Mareeba and the Atherton Tablelands). What a great way to start off your morning!

We will return you to your accommodation, or other places around town. Just let us know where you would like to go.

Fitzroy Island is one of 600 "Continental" or "High" islands on the Great Barrier Reef which means it used to be part of the mainland before rising waters separated this tranquil paradise. Over time a fringing coral reef surrounded the island, providing a sheltered home for a variety of fish and coral species. This area now forms part the Inner Barrier, of the Central Region of the Great Barrier Reef. And so this area can be protected for future generations it is part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, one of the several natural wonders of the World.

Port Douglas: First stop is Port Douglas... Here we'll stop for a walk and swim at the famous four mile beach, enjoy some morning tea and get to know each other!

Crocs!: On the way there or the way back (depending on the tides) we go looking for the famous and scary saltwater crocodiles in the wild!

Rare Wildlife & Ancient Rainforest: We cross the Daintree River on the ferry, then hit the wild side of the road and drive through some of the oldest rainforests in the world! No time to mess around... Let’s try and find a cassowary (dinosaur bird... very rare but very possible).

Lunch and Beach Time: Grab some food and head for the beach... Free time is on the cards!

Swimming: After lunch you will have the chance to enjoy a swim in freshwater tropical streams!

Beautiful Lookouts: Time to head home via two very beautiful lookouts and enjoy some tunes as we head back into civilisation...

You will be picked up from your accommodation by our fully air-conditioned coach, where we then drive north along one of the most renowned scenic coastal roads in Australia to Port Douglas. We enjoy a brief tour of Port Douglas and Four Mile Beach (Starter PAK) OR observe up close, a huge range of unique Australian animals, birds, fauna and fauna at Wildlife Habitat (Deluxe PAK) - see booking options.

We continue our journey along the Captain Cook Highway to the Mossoman Gorge National Park where you will enjoy a guided rainforest walk and see the crystal clear waters of the Mossman River cascade over spectacular boulder formations amongst the lush rainforest.

Then onto Daintree River that we cross over by Cable Ferry. Enjoy a spectacular drive over rainforest-clad mountains, to stop at Cape Tribulation Beach House where you have the opportunity for a swim and enjoy a delicious lunch at Cape Trib Beach House (Deluxe PAK only).

Then Kick back and relax under the fringing rainforest of the Daintree where the "Rainforest meets the Reef"! Enjoy a walk at this beautiful historic beach location.

We continue our journey onto your one hour river cruise on the majestic Daintree River - you can spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife that inhabit the area. Learn about the mangroves that line the banks and learn of their importance as our ocean's fish nurseries. Next return to your accommodation with a brief stop at the Rex Lookout.

Join your friendly guides for a full day of thrills, spills and excitement as you navigate your white water raft with your newly acquainted team mates down the mighty Tully River. The Tully River is situated in stunning World Heritage listed Rainforest and offers an awesome day out rafting on grade three & four rapids over five hours. Expect the need to hold on at times on these moderate technical rapids, however NO experience is necessary, most of your fellow rafters will never have rafted before. A sense of adventure is a must!

After a hectic morning of white water rafting fun, your river guide will pull you over onto the river bank for a delicious BBQ lunch (vegetarian options available request to be made when booking).
